TWO MAN CITY STARS TOLD THEY CAN LEAVE THE CLUB THIS SUMMER

With just nine days to go until the opening of the summer transfer window, a new update has emerged concerning Manchester City’s stance on two of their first-team defensive options. While Manchester City may have once again seen success in the Premier League last season, winning their fourth title in the last five campaigns, the club are certainly not expected to stand still in the transfer market.

Etihad Stadium officials have already secured the double signing of Julian Alvarez from River Plate and Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, and are expected to refresh other areas of Pep Guardiola’s squad in the coming weeks. One such area is in the defensive department, and new information this week has highlighted the club’s stance on two names that played an important role during different stages of the last season.

Will PUMA Make More In-Roads With Premier League

PUMA and soccer have gone hand in (goalie) glove for decades. Go to any amateur match, and you’ll see plenty players sporting their KING range. Originally released in 1970, and given instant icon status by Pelé wearing them in that year’s FIFA World Cup Finals in Mexico, the KING has adorned the feet of arguably the top three to ever play the game – the aforementioned Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff.

As a global brand, PUMA have footholds in many leagues. They pulled a massive coup in signing Brazil and Paris St Germain star Neymar Jr to wear his own signature KING Platinum. Would it make sense for them to target the English Premier League for new ambassadors?

MAN UNITED REPORTEDLY SUBMIT FIRST BID FOR DEFENDER

Manchester United defender and captain Harry Maguire could be living his final few months as a Red Devil if reports are to be believed. According to reports from various sources, the England international central defender is living a borrowed time at Old Trafford and could be replaced this summer as he continues to come under huge criticism from fans and former players for his poor performances in a United shirt so far.

According to some other reports, Borussia Dortmund star Manuel Akanji has an offer from Manchester United on the table. The 26-year-old has been tipped to move to Old Trafford amid Harry Maguire’s struggles at the back this term. And any deal that would see him leave Dortmund for the Premier League would, potentially, spell trouble for Maguire and his prospects of staying in the team.
