Will PUMA Make More In-Roads With Premier League

PUMA and soccer have gone hand in (goalie) glove for decades. Go to any amateur match, and you’ll see plenty players sporting their KING range. Originally released in 1970, and given instant icon status by Pelé wearing them in that year’s FIFA World Cup Finals in Mexico, the KING has adorned the feet of arguably the top three to ever play the game – the aforementioned Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff.

As a global brand, PUMA have footholds in many leagues. They pulled a massive coup in signing Brazil and Paris St Germain star Neymar Jr to wear his own signature KING Platinum. Would it make sense for them to target the English Premier League for new ambassadors?
